1.
Northern winds rail, find us too frail Know this fire, land does tire Darkness draws near, no light found here Nascence of storm, battles all form Golden home, that golden home This we deny, our spirits cry This we deny, resounding sigh Wild winds away, come, come day All golden stay On, on Lay down your bones This we deny, our spirits cry This we deny, resounding sigh Lay down your bones This we deny, our spirits cry This we deny, our spirits cry

Harvest 04:09
Oh, diamond, I come soft night Like raven, soft black in flight Have plenty of that rhondite Have love and skin of cross-eyed Now To find The Moth of Life I've lost My fortune, it's gone Along with my Love Cold, bolted, barren, hollow With candle sounding swallow Fill cup with wormwood and clove Bring dreams of blessed morrow Field, forest, all through evening Storm tempting all those sleeping With whispers, sisters reaping All riches good for keeping Now I've lost my heart It's vacant and hard To retrace what's gone To stop what's been done The heels are of mud The mind withdrawn My trial has come The drought begun I call No, come again beside No, come again to hide No, come again beside No, come again beside Beside me Beside, beside me He lay down alone He lay down alone With honor oh
3.
Animal 02:05
Tender are the walls Come inside to keep from all Lay your head, animal Rest your bones, rest your claws Go now, the earth home Gift from all, the world to roam Hold your palms to the sea Mist to calm, mist to ease
4.
The Garden 06:06
When you come to the garden When you walk through the gate You will be saved When you come with the honey When you open your eyes You will decide I've seen the banks of these rivers come Women wild and women behaved When the current comes, each will be saved Go, no, down, down When you wake under branches Flesh to flesh, not the same There you'll remain Wearing your shame Buried under the knowledge That you cannot return What have you learned I've seen all the banks of these rivers come Running wild and running ashamed All these children awake with the waves Cold soft hands, hard surface I will go I won't then Oooh Mortal longing unbecoming Banned from wanting knowledge haunting And all the things I have not said That somehow came along to lift This place I've found, this place I've found And all the times you lost your way The call, I could not show my face My face to you And when I come to bury this I'll know not what it was I missed I missed with you, I missed with you The pearl upon the tide is gone The way I was is nothing more A world apart, a world apart Shame is ageless Sorrow boundless
5.
Stranger 03:03
Got hold the lips that you wish to be yours Waking the heart with the sound of that mass in your core Come say that nothing, that nothing's too small That the time is like glass And the sound like a cry through the wall Ruthless stranger, with eyes full of danger Telling me what I don't know So I must go and follow you down Riding the eye to that mouth in the grove Holding the hand of the one you wished he had shown Face down, the image can't possibly stay With that credulous yawn, we let out what we never can say Ruthless stranger with eyes full of danger Telling me what I don't know So I must go and follow him down With the Tide you're mine With the tongue you're taught With the tide you're mine but oh, that aching gut Ruthless stranger with eyes full of danger Telling me where I must go But this I know, eye for an eye, reap what we sow Ruthless stranger wanton with anger Telling me what I don't know So I must go, so I must go And follow you down Follow you down Follow you down
6.
Anchor 04:23
Those who return become stone Let go the anchor my love Her bridal gown has been sewn Let go the anchor my love You want to be sure she's the same She will never carry your name The man with the room will take her from you And you'll never see your love again Eternally you will pine For she will never be thine Her face is burned into your mind But she will never be thine He's a seeker who's found his great pride In obedient unloving eyes Her heart yearns for you, but she'll ever be true To he who is deaf to her sighs Bid farewell in the rain Farewell Dear sweet, for me you shall not weep I fled toward sorrows never shared They echo around my bridal bed On the echo Where our hearts go Through the depths to All that we know To be patient With a voice soft To remember all that we've lost Through the moment To the homeland On our faces To the nameless To be patient With a voice soft To remember How we have fought
7.
Bumpy 03:54
Faithless adamantine heart Freshly stained and battle scarred You'll be golden in your time Still to live, ease your impatient mind Bathe your raven tireless head I will make your feather bed Raise your weather-beaten brow Know it's all just a show, on we plow I can hold all the tides of this heaven Never mind all the nights that we sat in awe To tell our own kin begin Through the fears of the night and the night after Keep me near in your sight and remember All the sounds of our own bemoan On the path to the light, I know I will go Very soon, all too soon, and I'll take with me nothing Save a truth untold
8.
See them all eyes, they seek to enter Their father's will, has borne this venture See them all eyes, they seek to enter Veiled all in mist, their spirits falter They catch their breath, cast up their offer Veiled all in mist, cast up their offer Reign of the dawn, they breathe their last air They bow their heads, pray for disaster Not one receives, what has been asked for All faith is stilled, their voices squander All faith is stilled, all voices squander

about

We have dusted off this long-lost album and decided it would be happier living in the world than stuck forever on a hard-drive. Some of these songs still feel unfinished, they were written over a number of years in a number of places - Chicago, Brooklyn, backstage on tour in Holland or France or Denmark, the suburbs of NJ, Philly and Portland, OR. A few songs didn't make it off the hard-drive, but we have to keep SOME secrets, right? We hope you enjoy this long labor as much as we will enjoy setting it free.
